Can I Park Free In The Rainbow Mall?
Yes. Parking is free at the Rainbow Mall.
Do You Take Cash?
Yes, but we require a credit card for rentals, but you can pay with cash.
Do You Sell Sunscreen Safe For The Reef?
Yes. The State of Hawaii has recently passed a law to support the ban of Oxybenzone and other harmful chemicals found in sunscreens from further damaging the coral reefs of Hawaii. Of course, we fully support this ban at Auntie Snorkel. Therefore, we have a variety of natural and organic products to protect both your skin and the coral reef’s ability to reproduce helping to keep our shoreline ecosystem healthy for generations.
How Far Is Auntie Snorkel To The Beach?
Auntie Snorkel is across the street from Kamaole Beach I. From Kamaole Beach I or II you can explore the spectacular reef that separates the two beaches.
Where Can I find Turtles?
South Maui beaches are teeming with Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles! Come rent snorkel gear and begin in the calm water across the street and swim around the lava outcroppings to find turtles.
Can I Snorkel From Your Location?
Absolutely! In fact, we highly recommend snorkeling from our location! We may be biased but we think it is one of the best reefs on the island to see lots of Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles!
Can I Paddle Board From Your Location?
Yes, Auntie Snorkel is across the street from the most popular spot on Maui to SUP! Come rent a board and cross the street to the best local SUP spot.
Are there Lifeguards on the beach?
Yes, the beaches across the street from Auntie Snorkel, Kamaole 1, 2 and 3, do have lifeguard stations.
Can I Surf From Your Location?
Yes. 1/2 mile north is South Maui’s year-round break at Cove Park!
Can I Boogie Board From Your Location?
Yes. South Maui Beaches are wonderful spots to ride fun shore waves on a Boogie Board. Big are small boogie boarding is a fun family beach rental item!
Do You Have Other Locations?
No. We are a humble “Mom & Pop” shop which is why we are able to provide our guests with exceptional care and service 🙂
Do You Rent Go Pros?
Yes. We rent Go Pro Hero 5. The rental comes with a floating waterproof housing, charging cord and a 16G micro sd card.

Do You Rent Kids Snorkel Gear?
Yes. We rent snorkeling equipment for kids and youth. We will size everyone appropriately in the store.
Do You Provide Defog?
Yes. All of your snorkel gear rentals will include a bottle of defog. We also sell Defog solution.
Are Your Fins Fitted?
Yes. We will appropriately size our custom sized fins to your feet when you arrive.
Can I Exchange Gear If It Doesn’t Fit?
If you need to exchange the rental gear for a new size just bring it in and we will swap it out!
Do You Have An After Hour Drop Box?
Under special circumstances we have a place where you can drop off snorkel gear after hours. No Go Pro’s or SUP’s offered for late drop off.
Do You Deliver Paddle Boards?
On weekly rentals after 6 p.m. You must have a safe place to store the boards overnight.
Do You Deliver Snorkel Gear?
We typically do not deliver snorkel gear. We recommend everyone get fitted in the store.
Do You Book All Maui’s Activities?
Yes. That is our specialty!! We guarantee the lowest prices on all the island activities. Give us a chance to beat any of your quotes! We also beat our competitor’s pricing!

I am looking for an activity but I don’t see it on your site? Can I still book it through Auntie Snorkel?
Absolutely! We book all the island activities. There are so many activities that we could not fit them all on our site. Call us to book! 808-298-3021.
Will I Have To Wait To Book An Activity In The Store?
We do have busier rental hours between 7:45a-noon. We do recommend if you have an activity question to come in the afternoon when we have more time to talk to you and find out what your options look like. Or book them online or call our activity specialist number @ 808-298-3021
Do You Provide A Maui Island Map Which Includes Snorkel Locations?
Yes. We do have maps highlighting all the great snorkel spots on the island and much more!
Do You Provide Information On Hikes And Restaurants?
Of course! Like we always say, our expert information is free 😉
Do You Have Dining Coupons?
Yes! We have many great island dining coupons for FREE! Come by and grab some! 😉
Do You Provide Surf Lessons?
We sell all the awesome island vendors that offer surf lessons! We would be happy to book the most suitable lesson for you.
Do You Provide Snorkel Lessons?
We do not offer snorkel lessons but we can help you book one.
Do You Rent Jet Skis?
We are an activity broker. We will book jet ski tickets for you. Give us a call and we can reserve your spot. Jet Ski rentals are on Ka’anapali Beach.
Do You Book Other Activities?
Yes! As a licensed activity broker, we offer all island activities. Check out our website for a sampling of our favorite Maui activities. But If you have a favorite you don’t see listed on our site, give us a call and we can book for you.
Do You Sell Snorkel Equipment?
Yes. We sell a variety of specialty masks. Our masks feature high-grade silicone skirts, tinted or clear tempered glass, silicone adjustable straps. We also sell dry snorkels, fins, defog, and other related gear. Our prices are the best on Maui for retail gear.
Do You Sell Snorkel Equipment For Kids?
Yes, we do sell snorkels and masks however we recommend renting them unless you are a frequent user.
Do You Sell Swim Goggles?
Yes. We sell a variety of Adult, Junior, and child swim goggles.
Do You Sell Underwater Phone Cases?
Yes. We have a selection of colorful underwater phone cases.
Do You Really Stoke Out All Your Guests?
Automatic! All Auntie Snorkel guests are treated with exceptional attention and care. We pride ourselves on spreading unconditional Aloha to every customer, every time!
How do returns/refunds work? What is your refund policy?
We offer no-hassle full refunds with no fees for all rentals reserved through our website, at the shop in person, or over the phone. Once you have picked up your rental equipment from our shop we generally only offer a shop credit for returns unless there are special circumstances.
We offer no-hassle full refunds for all island activity reservations booked through our website, at the shop, or over the phone 48 hours before the activity is to begin. Once we are within 48 hours of the activity start time we must follow the activity provider’s return policy. They typically require 48 hours’ notice for refunds.
