- Kam III is a less than 5 minute drive south from Auntie Snorkel Kihei.
- It’s easily accessible and conveniently located near various accommodations, restaurants, and shops.
Parking and Access
- There is a dedicated parking lot for Kam III right off of South Kihei Rd, across from the Haleakala Shores Condominium.
- The lot is large with 84 spaces.
- Paid Parking Effective July 15, 2026:
- Non-residents may pay for parking using the Park Maui mobile app or an on-site pay station.
- Standard rates for non-residents are $10 for daily parking, $50 for a weekly pass and $150 for a monthly pass.
- Weekly and monthly passes are available through the Park Maui mobile app.
- Paid parking and permit revenue will go into the County’s parking revenue fund to support parking operations, with any surplus available for parks, transportation, business district, cultural and environmental site needs.

- Dedicated Resident Recreation Hours:
- On weekends and County-observed holidays, parking in the paved lot is reserved for RESIDENTS ONLY before 10 a.m. at Kamaole I and III.
- There is also some gravel shoulder street side parking at the far south end of the park.

- On calm mornings, stand-up paddle boarding is a great option at Kam III. The long stretch of all 3 Kamaole beaches to the north make for a beautiful paddle. Just be aware that the wind can pick up strongly and quickly from late morning through the day, so the earlier you go out the better.
- There can be some elevated surf with summer south swells. This will impede snorkeling but can sometimes make for fun boogie boarding. Just be sure to exercise plenty of caution, and if in doubt, don’t go out!
