We rented some snorkel gear and a couple body boards from Dave, he treated us great with some great tips on where best to go based on the day’s conditions. Great experience! We’ll rent there again next time in Maui.

My only regret was not renting a snorkel set sooner... And maybe not springing for the GoPro. Equipment worked great! I think the only one more excited than me for the experience was"Big Wave Dave" who did an excellent job making sure I had all the right gear!

We rented two snorkel sets from Auntie Snorkel. They worked out great, no mask leaks, dry snorkels worked just like they should. The quality of the gear is actually quite good, and they even included some anti-fog spray and a fish identification card with the sets. We actually checked out another local snorkel rental spot first but weren’t all that impressed, then came to Auntie and they had a better price AND better gear. Scott was super helpful with all the snorkel advice, he definitely knows his stuff.

Stopped by this place to rent snorkeling gear. I was helped by Scott in choosing the right produce (e.g. full mask vs the traditional). Scott is very knowledgeable about the products, the island as well as several other things we ended up chatting about. He recommended some great spots for snorkeling as well as hiking.Renting and returning the gear was pretty straightforward.Would certainly stop by this store to rent again in my next visit to Maui.

While paddleboarding, my waterproof phone case gave out, so I returned to shore. Luckily, the Captain was incredibly helpful and recommended I rent a snorkel set, it was super affordable! I had an amazing time exploring the reefs right off the beach, and it completely transformed my day. The best part? I even got to capture a turtle up close with my new gear. Highly recommend this experience!

Highly recommend! The gear (snorkel sets, GoPro, boogie board) were in great condition and we enjoyed multiple beaches and bays using them (and got some great footage and photos of sea turtles). Mark from the Kihei location was awesome and helped us a bit after closing since we were running late. From Lahaina, Jean was lovely, very helpful with the multiple reservations, and so much fun to chat with (and we got to give her pup some chin scratches). Burton also ensured the return process went seamlessly! Thank you, and we’ll definitely rent again when we’re back!

Wonderful LOCALLY owned shop. I wasn’t booking an excursion at the time but Burton (I’m pretty sure that was his name) was helpful and kind. I purchased some sand toys at a reasonable price and felt good supporting a local shop.

We rented two beach chairs, two snorkel sets, an umbrella and received a free cooler rental for our week long stay. Jackson helped get us set up and made sure that all of our gear was a good fit before we left. He even gave us some good recommendations for good snorkeling spots based on where we were staying. Prices were reasonable, and pickup/return were very easy. Highly recommend!
They had all the gear we needed to make the once in a lifetime trip worth every penny and minute spent, and Jean was super knowledgeable and helpful getting us matched with the right gear and sizes (which can be tricky for newbies), not to mention adding that personal touch of aloha.

I belive Burton helped us if that’s how you spellIt. We rented a wagon and I ended up leaving with 5 products of the Hawai’i island tanning oil it seemed like. He recommended the after tan and the oil which ended up being great!!! I came back to return my wagon 5 shades darker literally.

We actually rented from both the Lahaina and Kihei locations, the service was amazing! They gave us tips on where the best conditions were. Made us feel comfortable and made sure everything fit. My 5 year old was fitted and ended up snorkeling with sea turtles at Black Rock Beach. Amazing experience and loved the service. I can't recommend them enough. We were in Maui for 9 nights and rented 2 chairs, 3 boogie boards and an umbrella. Jake was fantastic and helped us out with all the rentals. Pickup was easy and efficient. When we rented surfboards one evening and then realized we could not use them due to sunburns, the shop was quick to assist us via phone to cancel the reservation without penalty. Overall we were delighted with the items we rented and really impressed with the service. Thanks a ton Jake!

Great place to rent SUPs (Stand Up Paddle Boards)! My second time to rent here and on both times I experienced friendly and impeccable service. Reserving online was easy and pick up and return of the SUP was quick and easy too! Special shoutout to the curly haired guy at the counter. He even gave me helpful tips with the phone case I got from them free because of their online promotion. I would keep renting from them for the duration of my trip.
Hew the guy with Pooka shells shells was great help. He told us a great place for snorkeling. I saw a angle fish. The mask and snorkel were high tech. So comfortable. Five stars Hew🥰🥰🥰

Maui WaveRiders’ West Maui Surf Lessons!
Lesson Details:

- Ages: 8+ for semi-private or private lesson
Learn to catch your own waves or hone your skills!
- We specialize in all levels from beginning to advanced. The classes include use of a rashguard, surf shoes, a soft top surfboard, and safety fins. The lessons include an approximate fifteen-minute land lesson on the basics of surfing, emphasizing water safety. The rest of the time is spent with an instructor in the water teaching you how to catch your own waves!
Maui WaveRiders specializes in all levels from beginning to advanced. West Maui surf lessons include use of a rashguard, surf shoes, a soft top surfboard, and safety fins.
