Maui Summer Celebrations 2024

Summer in Maui is a magical time when the island comes alive with a variety of special events that highlight its rich culture, stunning landscapes, and vibrant community spirit. From cultural festivals to outdoor concerts and sporting events, Maui summer celebrations offer something for everyone to enjoy. Here are some of the must-attend events happening in Maui this summer.

4th of July Fireworks

This year, Maui’s 4th of July celebrations won’t be as widespread as usual, with the ongoing loss of our beloved Lahaina town. The LahainaTown Action Committee, which normally organizes the west Maui fireworks show, announced that community sentiment was understandably not in favor of holding a fireworks event in the area this year. Perhaps this favorite summer celebration will return in the future with more time to heal in Lahaina.

Grand Wailea Fireworks This means that if you want to catch some fireworks for the 4th of July, you’ll need to head south to the Grand Wailea Resort in Maui. The resort is once again hosting a spectacular Independence Day celebration that draws both locals and visitors to the luxurious resort. If you can get a spot, Wailea Beach fronting the Grand Wailea is the place to be! Of course, the fireworks will be visible from all around the local area as well. Just be mindful that most beach park public parking lots have a set close time before the fireworks at 8pm.

These special cruises provide an unparalleled view of the island’s stunning coastline and the spectacular fireworks displays that light up the night sky. As guests sail along the tranquil Pacific Ocean, they can enjoy gourmet meals, refreshing drinks, and live entertainment.
