Friendly staff, effective snorkel gear. Sarah was knowledgeable on the snorkeling areas and provided us with guidance to give us the best snorkel experience possible. We even got some prescription snorkel goggles, which we were so grateful for.

Hugh, the hella chill dude with the dimples you couldn't see and big man Dan were awesome! Smooth rentals (pickup and drop off) and they had the best prices, quality of equipment, and we even booked our dinner cruise through them for the Sunset Calypso tour and Auntie Snorkel called us the same day of the booking and confirmed our meal selection and times. They were knowledgeable of the beaches to go to for boogie boarding and different ones for snorkeling, and even the time of day. It was great have local information to base our plans around.Over all, I will definitely be booking with them again when we return and we will be booking all our excursions through them as well as they had the best discount prices for the service you were getting! Thanks for the awesome service!Update! We went there again when we returned to the island 9/1/24 and worked with Scott. He was awesome. Hooked up my niece with prescription lenses and it made the world of a difference. He really took the time time to fit her sight correctly and it made our snorkeling tour that much better because she was able to see that much better. Definitely book online as you get the best deals! Booked 2 snorkels and got a boogie board for free. He also gave us some great tips for beaches for snorkeling and boarding. We will return again next year!

What a Great place to rent equipment! The people that worked there are some of the most friendly and helpful of anyplace on the Island. We rented chairs and boogie boards and the experience couldn't have been more easy! I would suggest to Anyone who is vacationing on Maui to support this local establishment. I know if I am lucky enough to visit again I will not hesitate to rent again!
Recently rented four sets of snorkel gear and a couple bodyboards from these guys and the experience was great. Dave was the person helping us and he was awesome. He got us the right gear that we needed, made sure everything fit well, and made the process super easy. Dave is one of those guys that after we left my son looked at me and said “that guy really loves his job.” I would have to agree. His positive and fun loving attitude and attention to his customers were so amazing that I actually thought he might be the owner, which apparently he’s not. The guy never stopped smiling,was fast and efficient and just made the whole process fantastic. Even had some great recommendations for some awesome snorkeling. I can’t say enough positive things about Dave and Auntie Snorkel. Next time we are in Kihei, it’s a no-brainer that we will rent from these guys again.
Great place in Kihei to rent gear. Rented a boogie board online and pick up was a breeze. Sarah recommended a nearby beach based on the swells and she couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommend this place.
My family rented snorkel sets, floating devices, and boggie boards from the shop at reasonably priced. The shop offers a range of gears and different rental options, and we were super glad that they have huge stocks of optical snorkels, too, that suit our needs!Special mention to Captain Calley, who was very helpful during the rental process, giving us practical advice and was able to serve customers very efficiently and calmly under stress (there's a long line of customers in early morning and Captain Calley was just by herself). I'll definitely get my gear from Auntie Snorkel when I come back again next time.

Rented 2 sets of snorkel, fin, and masks from Auntie Snorkel Beach Rentals at the Lahaina location. Jean gave us outstanding recommendations on where to snorkel, where to eat, and what to do during our stay in Maui. She gave us instructions on how to use the equipment, which was invaluable (I didn't think there was much to know about snorkeling, but her tips were great in getting the most of our experience).I highly recommend using Auntie Snorkel....the prices are very reasonable and competitive, the locations are convenient, and the service outstanding.
What a pleasant experience of supreise and delight ! Upon arrival to Lahaina stopped into AS shop and talked with Jean who recommended the most wonderful snorkel areas for turtles. She was spot on & one of the most pleasant folks we encountered. At her recommendation selected the right date for the inpending weather to snorkle on the Quicksilver and received a discount. We were SO happy to find Auntie snorkel. Dave was extremely helpful and kind, and we found everything for our stay in Maui. They have a cute store with all the essentials for the beach and if you need something more specialized for surfing, snorkeling and other water activities, this is the right place. Highly recommended and prices are fair.

Very reasonable prices compared to other rental places in Maui, especially when ordering online. Cali helped us and she was amazing, accommodated everything that we had asked for. She helped us put the boards on the top of our car and gave us advice on where we should and should not surf. If you are in town, go to auntie snorkel and ask for Cali!

We went to Auntie Snorkel after visiting another rental place. We were greeted by cheerful and informative staff who were more than willing to answer all our questions. The prices were great as we have six in out family and needed it to be affordable. A huge thank you to Auntie Snorkel for helping us to enjoy a great experience on the beautiful Maui beaches.

I got an umbrella for a couple days to use at the beach. I can't believe how easy and CHEAP it was. Only 6 bucks for a full 24 hours of use, really nice Tommy Bahama umbrella too. Callen specifically at the reception desk was five stars. She was kind and helpful, and even extended my return time a couple hours just because we were visiting maui for the first time. 10/10 would recommend
We had a great experience at auntie snorkel, with both a helpful and informative pick up with Callie in Kihei, and a friendly and quick drop off in Lahaina. We have rented from other companies on the island, and this was hands down a better experience. Highly recommend!
Rented a paddle board for a quick 2 hr morning session. Got in and out quick with the super nice staff Bobby I believe was his name. Paddled right across the street and saw turtles, corals, needlefish, and more. Traveled to Maui with Alaska Airlines for a sweet trip.

Best rental shop around with great advice! Burton helped us when we were in the shop in April and he was awesome. Suggested some great snorkel spots and places to grab a bite! My whole family has awesome snorkels from this shop wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else!

Highly recommend! The gear (snorkel sets, GoPro, boogie board) were in great condition and we enjoyed multiple beaches and bays using them (and got some great footage and photos of sea turtles). Mark from the Kihei location was awesome and helped us a bit after closing since we were running late. From Lahaina, Jean was lovely, very helpful with the multiple reservations, and so much fun to chat with (and we got to give her pup some chin scratches). Burton also ensured the return process went seamlessly! Thank you, and we’ll definitely rent again when we’re back!

Wonderful LOCALLY owned shop. I wasn’t booking an excursion at the time but Burton (I’m pretty sure that was his name) was helpful and kind. I purchased some sand toys at a reasonable price and felt good supporting a local shop.

We rented two beach chairs, two snorkel sets, an umbrella and received a free cooler rental for our week long stay. Jackson helped get us set up and made sure that all of our gear was a good fit before we left. He even gave us some good recommendations for good snorkeling spots based on where we were staying. Prices were reasonable, and pickup/return were very easy. Highly recommend!
They had all the gear we needed to make the once in a lifetime trip worth every penny and minute spent, and Jean was super knowledgeable and helpful getting us matched with the right gear and sizes (which can be tricky for newbies), not to mention adding that personal touch of aloha.

I belive Burton helped us if that’s how you spellIt. We rented a wagon and I ended up leaving with 5 products of the Hawai’i island tanning oil it seemed like. He recommended the after tan and the oil which ended up being great!!! I came back to return my wagon 5 shades darker literally.

We actually rented from both the Lahaina and Kihei locations, the service was amazing! They gave us tips on where the best conditions were. Made us feel comfortable and made sure everything fit. My 5 year old was fitted and ended up snorkeling with sea turtles at Black Rock Beach. Amazing experience and loved the service. I can't recommend them enough. They are open for business and we truly felt the appreciation! Thank you!

Burton had great info for us. He knew exactly where the best snorkeling was. We were able to see colorful fish and coral. We also ran into (literally) a couple of sea turtles. It was amazing!
We booked a luau through them which was awesome because it came with a discounted price:) and we rented snorkel gear which was fairly priced! The people working there are super helpful and told us some good snorkeling spots!! 10/10 recommend this place for gear and discounted rates on fun events!!

We were in Maui for 9 nights and rented 2 chairs, 3 boogie boards and an umbrella. Jake was fantastic and helped us out with all the rentals. Pickup was easy and efficient. When we rented surfboards one evening and then realized we could not use them due to sunburns, the shop was quick to assist us via phone to cancel the reservation without penalty. Overall we were delighted with the items we rented and really impressed with the service. Thanks a ton Jake!

The guys are super helpful and have a great selection of rentals to make your vacation fun and relaxing! We rented beach chairs and beach umbrellas for our stay. Very smooth process for picking them up and returning them. Definitely plan to rent from them again!
Great place to rent SUPs (Stand Up Paddle Boards)! My second time to rent here and on both times I experienced friendly and impeccable service. Reserving online was easy and pick up and return of the SUP was quick and easy too! Special shoutout to the curly haired guy at the counter. He even gave me helpful tips with the phone case I got from them free because of their online promotion. I would keep renting from them for the duration of my trip.
Hew the guy with Pooka shells shells was great help. He told us a great place for snorkeling. I saw a angle fish. The mask and snorkel were high tech. So comfortable. Five stars Hew🥰🥰🥰
