Your day of touring the Hana Highway will take you completely around Haleakala, where you’ll be able to see the rolling hills on the backside of the island. You will also be able to take a swim at Hamoa Bay, or hike to the lower pools of Oheo and take a dip in the cool, crisp waters. Make sure to bring your bathing suit!
You’ll experience the famous black sand beach at Waianapanapa State Park, its beautiful structures of volcanic rock and take in the majesty of the beach’s scenic ocean views. You’ll create memories that will last a lifetime with your family or significant other, so make sure to bring your camera and GoPro for some truly amazing shots!
Through the years, the road has undergone many changes from widening to repaving while still maintaining it’s exciting winding feel. There are still 54 one lane bridges spanning the stream and over 500 winding, exhilarating curves along the way.
