Auntie Snorkel Lahaina is open!

A quick look at what businesses are open as West Maui welcomes back visitors.

Updated March 13, 2024

As of November 1, 2023, all of West Maui, except the area of Lahaina town, is officially reopen for visitors. Nearly three months after devastating wildfires in and around Lahaina, recovery is still only just beginning for residents and businesses. A vital part of that recovery is ensuring the support of our local economy, and we thank you for coming to Maui to show your aloha.

However, the biggest question for many visiting now is: what’s open in West Maui? We’ve compiled a list of just some of the top spots Auntie recommends you visit that are open or opening soon. This is by no means a complete listing, rather just a starting point to help you plan your visit. Keep in mind that circumstances change regularly, so please check in directly with any local business you plan to visit before you get there. We’ve included links to help you find up-to-date information.

Auntie Snorkel is open!

We are open in Lahaina every day 8am-5pm. Call ahead of your visit at 808-298-3021. We are also open every day in Kihei 7:30am-5pm.

About Mark Noble

Auntie Snorkel shop has been serving Maui’s fun seekers for over 33 years, established in 1985. We are the original South Maui Snorkel Shop. When I bought the shop ten years ago from Auntie we decided to keep the name. The name Auntie is a term of respect here in Hawaii. I am living my dream. I get to meet awesome people from all over the world and share with them my love and knowledge of this magical island I get to call home. We know all the spots. I have lived here since 2001. We are the true definition of a family owned and operated shop. I answer the phones and work the shop along with my family. When you shop with us you are supporting my ohana and for that I thank you!! Why go anywhere else? We are the friendliest, fastest, cheapest and our location is the most epic! Mahalo and Aloha.
