Highly recommend Auntie Snorkel! We had just landed in Maui and came across Auntie Snorkel on a walk-by. We were greeted by Mark, great guy, awesome personality! He recommended all his favorite snorkel spots on the west side island and gave us a great multi-day snorkel rental deal. We had a blast checking out all the spots and seeing many ancient turtles, stunning, wild-looking fish, and beautiful beds of coral!We then talked to Burton, also a great guy, who helped us book a luau experience last minute. We sincerely appreciated it! And we had a great time at the luau.Finally we dropped off our snorkel gear with ease on our dash to the airport to a radiant woman, whose name i didn’t catch, I apologize, and her cute poodle pup.Everyone at Auntie snorkel had such happy dispositions and were so helpful! Scott took care of us when we visited in February. He was warm, fun, attentive, and remembered our names when we walked through the door to return the rentals. They were offering 3 boogie board rentals for the price of 2, and we could switch them out if we wanted a different size or style. This was our second time renting from Auntie Snorkel, and we will rent again when we're back in Maui.

We rented snorkel gear and floatation equipment for our week-long vacation. The equipment was great, but the staff was fantastic. They told us about great snorkeling spots around the island, including parking directions. They also recommended done great food spots.
The Captain was fantastic! She helped us get our wetsuits and was the best investment we made all week. We stayed in the ocean and snorkeled for longer periods being nice and cozy. We even got stopped on the beach and asked how we got those and we pointed them right to Auntie Snorkel! Highly recommend!
We rented beach chairs, umbrella & boogie board. All were in pristine condition. The customer service was amazing and Jean was so great- she also helped us arrange a helicopter tour which was the highlight of our trip. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them over and over again. Highly recommend!

See story below.We entered In Search of a rental CAMERA, but we left with a Go Pro And a Hula Girl (HG). Our HG was sooo wonderful, that we returned with friends who also left with their own HG. Then we made arrangements to have a few more HG’s flown to Maryland. See the picture below where our Auntie Snorkel HGs are dancing circles around the other HG … who was not trained by Auntie.

What a great experience! Jean helped our family pick out good boards and then pointed us to a great spot for an incredible day of surfing. Very reasonably priced, too -- full day rental was less than one hour at many other shops. Can't recommend this spot highly enough -- great vibe, super helpful and kind. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Auntie Snorkel is always my go to spot for beach gear as well as booking adventures. I like that there are two locations. Whether I am in Kihei or Lahaina, this place has everything I need in prime locations. I am always pleased with the quality and cleanliness of the gear. I usually rent their paddle boards and beach chairs, but I recently rented snorkeling gear for the whole fam. The staff was great sizing up my two kiddos with the correct gear and also giving a rundown of water safety tips and great locations to snorkel. No matter who is working, the staff is always so helpful and really knowledgeable. One thing I love about Auntie Snorkel is that it is family owned. I love supporting small businesses any chance I get. If you are in Maui in need or any beach or water rentals, Auntie Snorkel is your place!

Warm wonderful and exactly who you want to talk to when it comes to want to figure out where is best to take your standup paddleboard or if you need any other equipment.This was the best price I could find anywhere around LahainaThey will even deliver your board for you for free if you rent it for a week.Our experience was so perfect with where Gene sent us that we had a whale go directly underneath us and surface within 5 feet! Absolutely thrilling and a life-changing event!Also, had an opportunity to text with the owner, Mark Noble… What a nice man he is to text with. He was available to text early and let us know. It was a great day for snorkeling, and his shop was a perfect place to go for it!

Came to west maui and found the best place to rent beach gear on island. With the most nicest and informative staff ever. Gentlemen working was named burton and gave us the best info ever. We rented snorkel equipment for our large family, including children, at the Lahaina location and returned our equipment at the Kihei location. Both locations were excellent to work with. In Lahaina we were helped by Jean and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She quickly and easily got us everything we needed and all the equipment was clean and in excellent condition. She even gave us a map and told us about several snorkeling locations she would recommend for our group and exactly how to find them. Her suggestions were spot on and everyone saw so many fish and had a blast. At one location we were even able to see a green sea turtle. We will be recommending auntie snorkel to all our friends and family!

These guys are the best. Burton and the team hooked us up with great snorkeling and boogie boarding stuff.Plenty of places to get rental gear but this is in a great spot by a couple good places to eat where locals do. Near the Safeway.Get off the resorts and spend some money on the other side of the street - it goes a long way to help the local business owners. They go out of their way to give us a great experience.
I had a great experience renting a surfboard from Auntie Snorkel. Burton helped me pick out a board, mapped out some great surf spots for a more beginner surfer, and helped me load the board onto my car. Easy, helpful, and fun place to rent from! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Maui.

Went to this store in Lahaina based on the reviews for the Kehei store. The person at the front desk was super sweet. Made sure we had everything we need. We had tons of questions regarding where to snorkel, breakfast places, etc. I forgot the person’s name but she was very patient in answering. We rented snorkel gear and wetsuit. I had great deal of 60% off by booking online. Definitely recommend this place if you are making your pit stop in Lahaina. Cheers!

Great place to rent SUPs (Stand Up Paddle Boards)! My second time to rent here and on both times I experienced friendly and impeccable service. Reserving online was easy and pick up and return of the SUP was quick and easy too! Special shoutout to the curly haired guy at the counter. He even gave me helpful tips with the phone case I got from them free because of their online promotion. I would keep renting from them for the duration of my trip.
